Alaska - Denali Teklanika Day 3

Hi, I hope you and those close to you are well and life is good. I am doing great. It was a very good and productive day that paid big in the end. I got up wrestling with the idea of rushing and catching an early enough bus to get me back to camp, similar as yesterday. In the end I just didn’t want to rush things. I took my time getting cleaned up prepping breakfast and all. I did rush out to get the generator running. So many batteries RV to GoPro were getting low. I only had two hours to try and charge things, today and taking the late bus would mean I would be unable to charge batteries this evening. For the most part I was able to get all batteries charged up today. I tried to sit in the truck to be able to work on the laptop but no charging was taking place. It would only charge while truck is running, bummer. To stay busy, I did some modifications and changes to the storage are where I keep dishes and glasses. The change makes things more spread out. I shall see when I drive the dirt road out of here if I have only created a mess. Stay tuned for more on that story on the 28th. Having completed that task, I fixed some lunch and then prepared the food I would take on the bus ride today. I changed and started to the bus stop. I didn’t get far, I didn’t have my cell phone and then I remembered I had an alarm set to go off about now. I walked back and sure enough the alarm was going off. I made it out to the bus stop in plenty of time. There were 5 others waiting as well. I hoped there would be good seating for everyone. When the bus pulled up, I didn’t even look, I let the 5 that had been waiting the longest get on first. I was happy they went all the way to the back. I was able to get a seat 4 rolls back and there was plenty of room to move about if needed. We were off and it wasn’t long and getting back to my late schedule of riding buses paid off. We saw our first bear of a total of eleven for the day. I was so happy to be seeing a bear eating berries, I am thinking soap berries, I hear they taste like soap. I’ll take there word for it. It was a cold and grey all day. When we reached the Eielson Visitor Center, we arrived in clouds with a very lite mist. I think this evening was the foggiest I have ever seen. It was towards the end of the ride when we saw 3 bears on the left side of the bus and then I spotted another on our right side of the bus. Then we went around a curve and dall sheep was spotted. All in all it was a mellow and bear filled day. YES!!!!!
