Alaska - Homer Day 3

Hi, I hope you are well and life is good. I am doing fine. I was up early to make lunch and making sure I had everything I would need for a day of bear viewing at Brooks Falls, Katmai National Park. I was prepared for rain or shine, warm or cold. I had cameras ready. I proceeded to the plane dock. I wasn’t sure what to expect thinking I would need to go through bear school with the others. The flight over was nice and I was able to fly in the co pilot seat. We made to Brooks Camp and proceeded to where bear school was held. The guide told me to go into the visitor center and see if I would be able to be on my way, having had done bear school in early July. I was tested and I passed and I was able to get a bear pin and was allowed to be on my way. I headed straight to the falls platform. I was happy to see the platform wasn’t even close to being at capacity. I immediately got busy taking pictures and getting video. I was able to spend the entire time at the falls platform. I was happy with the pictures and video I was able to get. I was so happy there were a good number of bears. I left the falls platform early, thinking I would have a beer before needing to be back at the plane. I was surprised the lodge was open but there was no serving. So much for a beer, I walked the rest of the way to the plane and had a seat to wait. I couldn’t wait to get on the plane to eat the sandwich and chips I had left on the plane. I ate and enjoyed to flight back to Homer. I was so tired. I made my way back to the camper and unloaded all the pictures and video onto the laptop and then back up to externals drives. I had a bite to eat and afterwards, I was so tired I ended up going to bed early and was laying down at 8:05pm. That is all for now. Take care…peace…
