Alaska - Denali Day 3

Hello all, I hope you and those close to you are well and life is good. I am doing good. I am well and feeling very healthy. When I went to the bus ticket office, I found out if I took the bus I would normally take, Again, I would be the only rider and the earlier bus had four riders. My thing with being the only rider is, there are fewer eyes to spot wildlife. As it turned out, what riders there were, were more interested in socializing. It was a day to test my patience photography and video wise. The bus driver would creep along very slowly trying to get a better vantage point only to end up putting the animals out of sight and would drive on. It almost seemed like it was deliberate so the driver could drive and talk. Not, that much could be understood because the talking sounded more like mumbling. It came to a point I just gave up looking for bears. So I just sat there biting my tongue. I so much wanted to say to the driver, The first spot and stop is usually going to be the best. It seems to me from previous years this driver did the same thing then. Oh well. It is what it is and not much can be done. I am sorry there are drivers that are not very rider friendly. They are just going through the motions and really don’t care the visitor has the best possible experience possible. Animals seen today, bears, caribou, dall sheep and willow ptarmigan. It was a good day to see animals just not so good to be able to get good pictures. Maybe tomorrow.
